Calling All United Museum Workers!
As noted in a recent bargaining update from UMW representative Natalie McClaine, our Bargaining Committee has proposed that the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh pay everyone no less than a living wage. Currently 60% of our staff at CMP make less than $15 an hour. We think that’s wrong and that CMP can do MUCH better.
To encourage CMP leadership to agree to our proposal, we’re asking you to join us in the Carnegie Museum of Art Sculpture Courtyard for the opening gala of the Carnegie International on Friday, September 23rd at 5:30pm. We will have informational leaflets and stickers to share with our visitors.
Let’s come together to celebrate our hard work and show our strength as the United Museum Workers!
Can you attend?
Questions? Ideas? We want to hear from you! Write to us at unitedmuseumworkers.usw@gmail.com. Our strength as a union lies in our transparent communication and shared experience. Let’s chat!
