Contract Info Sessions and Ratification Vote
Hello United Museum Workers,
Our Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement (TA) with the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. This would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our members at all four museums and our central offices. Now every member of our bargaining unit will have the opportunity to vote on whether we choose to ratify our contract.
Attend one of these two meetings to learn about what is in the TA, what are our next steps, and how to vote! Please note that you must sign a membership card in order to vote.
Virtual meeting: Monday, 5/15 at 6:30pm over Zoom

Hybrid meeting: Wednesday, 5/17 at 6:30pm on the fourth floor of the USW headquarters OR over Zoom
Join here: https://uswhosting-org.zoom.us/j/85104442180
We will also have informational tables in the museums where you can talk with us, ask questions, and sign union cards.
Tabling at the Lutheran University Center (across the street from CMOA): Monday, May 15, 12:00 - 4:00pm
Tabling at the Tull Classroom at Carnegie Science Center: Wednesday, May 17, 12:00 - 4:00pm
Tabling at the Employee Lounge at the Andy Warhol Museum: Thursday, May 18, 12:00 - 4:00pm
Tabling at the Development Conference Room of CMOA/CMNH: Thursday, May 18, 12:00 - 4:00pm
Once you have the information you need, please vote on whether or not to ratify the TA. We can officially ratify our contract if a simple majority of voters approve the TA. If we vote not to ratify the contract, our bargaining committee returns to the negotiating table. Our bargaining committee enthusiastically endorses this contract!
To vote, you must sign a membership card. Our election will take place virtually. You can vote anytime from the evening of Monday, May 15th to 5:00pm on Thursday, May 18th.
Questions? Ideas? We want to hear from you! Write to us at [email protected]. Our strength as a union lies in our transparent communication and shared experience. Let’s chat!
